MY EXPERIENCE
Roles & Responsibilities
2020-2021
I am part of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Young. Specifically, I collaborate as a Thematic Focal Point for the period 2020-2021 of its SDG7-Youth Constituency. I represent Peru and my organization. We seek to take action around the energy sector with a view on sustainable development.
DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ENGINEER, ENGIE, PERÚ
September 2019 -
I am in charge of developing renewable and efficiency energy solutions for Perú and Latin America. I have managed and developed important projects of solar photovoltaics and microgrids for rural electrification.
RESEARCH THESIS STAY, CINVESTAV, MÉXICO
July 2019 - August 2019
My undergraduate thesis focused on the synthesis of a new hole-transporting layer for perovskite solar cells. My thesis was part of an important project in condensed matter physics at the Electrical Engineering Department at CINVESTAV in Mexico City.
R&D INTERNSHIP, BALSEIRO INSTITUTE, ARGENTINA
February 2019
I spent my vacations doing research and development at the prestigious Instituto Balseiro at the Bariloche Atomic Center in Argentina. I did a research and development internship in the development of new materials for lithium batteries and storage for the nuclear power industry.
PROJECT ENGINEER, WAIRA ENERGÍA, PERÚ
August 2018 - July 2019
Waira means "wind" in Quechua. This was the first company where I worked. I was in charge of developing renewable energy microgrids using wind and photovoltaic energy. These microgrids currently provide clean energy to hundreds of people in rural communities of Perú.
EDUCATION
My Studies
2019 -
TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITEIT DELFT
I have a micromaster in Photovoltaic Engineering at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
2018
Research stay in energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, US.
MIT
2017
NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBIA
Student exchange at the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Colombia in Bogota.
2013 - 2018
B.SC. MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
I studied at the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University of Perú and at the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. My studies focused on renewable energy, power systems, material science and electrical engineering. During my undergraduate I received several scholarships and awards, among them: the ¨Pacific Alliance¨ scholarship from the government of Mexico and the ¨National University of Colombia" fellowship.
MY PASSIONS

RENEWABLE ENERGY
The energy future
I am a true fan of renewable energy. My passion was born when I started researching solar cell materials during my studies in Mexico, then I have been part of important research and engineering projects. I have experience in the design, implementation, and commissioning of photovoltaic plants and renewable energy microgrids.
SCIENCE AND RESEARCH
Love for knowledge
I love science and I firmly believe that the only way to achieve a real sustainable development is to research new processes and technologies around energy, agriculture, or genetics that allow us to improve people's quality of life and have economic growth without affecting the environment.
